Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between F1, F1B and Multigen?
An F1 doodle is first generation cross between two purebred parents, such as a purebred Australian Shepherd and a purebred Poodle, resulting in a 50/50 cross. These puppies will usually produce either a straight or wavy coat.
An F1B doodle is a cross between a F1 doodle and a purebred Poodle, such as an Aussiedoodle and a purebred Poodle, resulting in a 75/25 cross. These puppies will usually produce wavy or curly coats.
A Multigen doodle is a cross between a a F1B or higher parent bred to another F1B or higher parent, such as a F1B Bernedoodle bred to another F1B Bernedoodle, resulting in a Multigen cross. These puppies will produce straighter/wavier coats.
How often do we recommend grooming?
We recommend regular grooming, usually every 6-8 weeks for all of our doodles to prevent matting of their coat and to maintain their coat health! It is never too early to get them started on their grooming journey, since they will have a life full of grooming ahead of them! We also recommend bathing and blow drying your puppy in between their grooming appointments, to help familiarize them with the tools and sounds that they will be subjected to.
Do doodles shed?
The easiest way to answer this is yes…..all doodles “technically shed”. While we cannot guarantee that our doodles will be 100% shed free, they are considered low to non-shedding, and will shed significant less than a purebred dog. F1B and Multigen puppies are typically recommended for those customers that more concerned with excessive shedding and allergy symptoms, since their coats are more predictable than the coats of F1’s.
When can I take my puppy home?
All of our puppies are ready to go home to their new families at 8 weeks of age, and will have their first set of vaccinations before they leave us, here at Breezy Hill Farms. This is not only a requirement for our State Licensure, but also a requirement from the Airlines that they be no younger than 8 weeks old to fly.
What is included in our “puppy pack”?
We send your puppy home with a bag full of goodies! They will get a soft blanket with their litter mate’s and mother’s scent on it, plush toy, organic puppy treats, their current puppy food they are eating, and all of their health records from their Veterinarian exam and from us at Breezy Hill Farms!
What sizes of puppies do we raise?
We ONLY breed for Toy and Mini sizes. Our Toy doodles range in size from 10-20 pounds at maturity, while our Mini doodles range from 20-30 pounds at maturity.
What colors do our puppies come in?
We breed for a variety of colors here at Breezy Hill Farms! While Blue Merle is always a customer favorite, we also have Chocolate Merle, Red Tri, Black Tri and Phantom, and rarely Bi color!

We drove an hour to pick up our cute, adorable puppy last Friday. When we were about 15 minutes away from meeting Melody to pick up the puppy, we had to pull over because of a tornado.😬 I was so afraid Melody was going to get tired of waiting on us and go home, but even though we ended up being 45 minutes late, she was still waiting for us with our new puppy! We ended up calling our new puppy Betsy Nado. Betsy has been a great addition to our family. She loves to be around her humans and her new great dane friend.
We added this little guy to our family a few days ago. Beautiful, healthy dog very smart very pleased with him so far. Looking forward to some good memories. Thank you to Tyler and Melody for being so kind and selling us one of their babies.
My husband brought River home about four days ago. Melody was very informative and patient while we decided on purchasing River. When my husband picked River up, Melody had brought a bag of dog food and was just a really nice person to deal with. River is 9 weeks old, she is the cutest little puppy ever and she seems very smart. You just have to distinguish between the I’m bored and the I have to potty whine lol! We received our two very adorable toy Aussiedoodles a month ago. Louie and Ozzie are smart, full of energy and very loving. We highly recommend Breezy Hill Farms. We got our new puppy from breezy Hill Farms for Christmas. She is an amazing dog and is in perfect health.
